A little about me

I’m Michael

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, with its beautiful forests, mountains, and lakes becoming my own personal backyard.

How I got Started

I first picked up a camera in late 2020 as a COVID hobby. I took pictures of everybody and everything. My school needed a student photographer, and I was hired in 2022. From there, my love of event photography was born.

Where I am now

After graduation, I decided that I really enjoyed event photography and wanted to pursue it professionally. McIlvried Photography was born in 2023, and I've never looked back.

Interesting Fact

Not only am I a photographer, but I am also a certified Ski Instructor. It seemed like the perfect way to channel my winter hobby and have more opportunities to photograph unique atmospheres.
